The history of ArtVilla

The site of today's Artvilla was acquired in 1987 by the current owner, Johannes Kögel, who was then working as a travel entrepreneur, and in the following years was initially a small orchard.



Soon the idea for a small, special boutique hotel with art in the house and garden was born.

The Hotel Artvilla on Lake Constance was then opened in 2000 and has been managed by Johannes Kögel himself from the very beginning.

The house owes its special charm and spirit to the unique combination of hospitality, art and style.
